Footage purporting to show GTA VI gameplay, including protagonist Jason at what appears to be an ocean-view home, along with images claimed to show parts of the game’s map, began circulating from a site calling itself “Cyberleek” starting August 18, 2026. The material surfaced roughly a week before Rockstar’s scheduled GTA VI Extended Look, set to premiere on Netflix August 27, 2026.
Multiple outlets reported on the footage without confirming its authenticity outright. Rockstar Games has been issuing takedown requests for the material, which is consistent with protecting unauthorized leaked content regardless of whether it is genuine, and does not itself confirm or deny authenticity. One industry insider (NateTheHate) has claimed the clips may be over a year old, meaning they would not necessarily reflect the current state of the game shown at the Extended Look.
